Holy Family encourages life-long catechesis for our parishioners to grow in their faith. To that end, we provide a variety of programs for adult learners throughout the year designed to help our parishioners develop their spirituality and grow in faith. We offer daytime and evening studies, evening programs, one day retreats, workshops, guest speakers and lecture series such as our annual parish mission. In addition to our gathered programs, we have a variety of resources available for home study through Formed.org, our parish library and CD's from Lighthouse Media. There are so many different ways to learn and grow in your faith, we encourage you to start TODAY!

Study: Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John (Ascension Press)
Following Christ takes more than simply believing in him or doing what he asks of us. Jesus wants you to be more than just a believer—he wants you to be his disciple and friend. Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John is your guide to a personal encounter with Christ. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus seeks us. He comes to meet us and beckons us to follow him. He calls us to be his disciples, to trust him, to open ourselves to his merciful love, and to love others as he has loved us. Follow Me invites you to experience the joy of a renewed friendship with Christ. In this study you will learn what it takes to follow Christ and discover the joy of divine friendship. You will see how God, and only God, can satisfy the deepest desires of your heart.

Study: The Gospel of Matthew: Proclaiming The Ministry Of Jesus (Liguori Publications)
Who was Matthew? Why did many Jews not recognize Jesus as the Messiah? What does the Gospel of Matthew say to us today? How does Lectio Divina move us to pray with Scripture?
The evangelist Matthew writes to a Jewish-Christian audience and teaches us that Christ fulfills the promises of the Old Testament. The inheritance of the Messiah belonged to the Israelite people; however, many Jews didn't recognize Jesus, which is why Gentiles made up a large portion of the early Christian converts.
Matthew's Gospel quotes the Old Testament as it speaks of the reign of God, the promise of eternal life, and Jesus' teaching of the twofold commandment to love God and neighbor. In The Gospel of Matthew, Father Bill Anderson's conversational instruction style brings Scripture to life, moving us to use God's Word in prayer through the spiritual discipline of lectio divina.
