From the Pastor's Desk... Happy Birthday! Yes it is your birthday – the birthday of the church. The Feast of Pentecost celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles. At that moment the death and resurrection of the Lord made sense. Their confusion and doubts were gone. Their lives were transformed forever. They left the upper room to preach the Gospel to the world. Through baptism, confirmation and Eucharist our lives were transformed forever. Like the first disciples we are sent forth to bring the Gospel to the world. Today we celebrate when it all began for the Church and thus for all of us. Thank you, O God, for the gift of your Church and for calling us to be members of the Body of Christ!
