Camp Fort Worth 2016
We have an amazing opportunity for High School youth in our Diocese to experience a "Mission Trip" without ever leaving the metroplex: Camp Fort Worth. Youth will experience a week long camp that combines service, praise and worship and community building all in our own backyard for a fraction of the cost that a regular mission trip would cost.
This year's camp is July 17-22 at St. Joseph's in Arlington.
Each parish in the Diocese can bring up to 6 campers to CFW. As of today, I have all 6 spots still open and available! The cost is only 101.00 for a whole week!
Registration is quickly filling up, so if you are interested in attending please contact me by Friday, June 10 to register at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At Camp Ft. Worth you will experience the love of the Father in the person of His Son Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit in a profound way through:
•Praise and Worship
•Contact with the poor of our diocese.
Jesus said the poor would always be with us. He also sends us to their aide. Camp Ft. Worth is a small effort to raise awareness to the plight of the poor in our diocese and to encourage youth to add service to the poor of the world to their lifestyle as Catholic Christians.
Each participant will be placed in a group of about 12 youth and adults. Each group will travel to a different work site each day. We strive to spend a day working in these areas: One day each with organizations that serve the homeless, at risk children, and the elderly, as well a day in a workshop making baby cribs and a day at the “home” church site (doing odd jobs).
